I bought the DC analog engine, so I needed to equip it with a decoder. It's a 8-pin socket, so I used ESU 59620 DCC:

EuroCity 72/73 "Smetana" (Wien-Praha) - part 2
With this formation, I had to find the appropriate engine: an ÖBB Class 1014. As I was looking for the miniature model of that locomotive, I came across this video that explains the rather interesting history behind the prototypical engine:
Only Roco produced this engine and again I came across a page with the history of the model this time:

This is the model I was able to find - Roco 63610:

EuroCity 72/73 "Smetana" (Wien-Praha) - part 1
This first post is about the train formation itself. I saw the two ACME sets for it, but they were released exclusively for the OKvláčky.cz store in Czech Republic:

I bought the DC analog engine, so I needed to equip it with a decoder. It's a 8-pin socket, so I used ESU 59620 DCC:

EuroCity 22/23 "Johann Strauß" (Köln Hbf–Wien Westbf) - part 2
With this formation, I had to find the appropriate engine: a DB BR 103. I was lucky enough to find Roco 72394 at an okay price:

These are all the cars I need for the train formation:
I have one ACME 90126, therefore I need:
- ACME 90125
- ACME 90127
- ÖBB Bmz 73 from ACME 90125 or RailTop 32211, 32212, 32213
- ÖBB Bmpz 73 from ACME 90126 or RailTop 32221, 32222
- ÖBB Amz 73 from ACME 90125 or RailTop 32101

EuroCity 22/23 "Johann Strauß" (Köln Hbf–Wien Westbf) - part 1
I recently purchased an ACME car set for the "Johann Strauß" train - I have one and I'd need to find the other two.

New engines
I got a couple of new engines and since I temporally fixed my issue for Roco models, I updated those as well.

Roco 70434 - ÖBB 1044.01
I bought this one because it was deeply discounted. I'm not sure just yet for which composition I will use it, but I know Rh 1044 is a very common engine for ÖBB.

Check this post to see the pictures. I post here only the decoder with address #1116:
Roco 7510032 - ÖBB 1216 227-9
For the EC 73 "Smetana" Prague – Brno Hbf., I needed a ÖBB 1216!

Roco 7310010 - DB BR 218 150-1
This is a diesel engine for my "Nordsee Express" train. I made a post about it here. As mentioned on that page, there's a special edition of the BR 218 in cream and blue livery, but it is sold out. Instead, I'm purchased the main Roco model that works well too.
