I made a new video on how to open a AM08 Desiro railcar from Van Biervliet.
Before we get to that, I'm adding here several videos from the actual railcar:
Van Biervliet released only two models. According to Wikipedia, some railcars are equipped for 25kV and can cross the borders into France and Luxembourg.
So, here's how to open this model:
Finally, the two outside tracks are fully wired. The switch motors for those tracks are installed but not wired yet. I left them in the straight position which allows trains to run around the layout.
And now with sound and a full loop:
While I'm still wiring the outside two tracks, I wanted to run a quick test on the section detection with RailCom, since this is what requires additional wiring; so I might as well make sure it is working at this point.
