I bought the DC analog engine, so I needed to equip it with a decoder. It's a 8-pin socket, so I used ESU 59620 DCC:

With this formation, I had to find the appropriate engine: an ÖBB Class 1014. As I was looking for the miniature model of that locomotive, I came across this video that explains the rather interesting history behind the prototypical engine:

 

 

Only Roco produced this engine and again I came across a page with the history of the model this time:

This first post is about the train formation itself. I saw the two ACME sets for it, but they were released exclusively for the OKvláčky.cz store in Czech Republic:
