Streets and buildings outline - part 7

Now that the outline of the various buildings are drew on the platform, it gives me an idea about how much I have for the other side.

A while back, I purchased a set of houses from Regions & Companies:

Alignement de 5 Maisons du Nord - réf QNO001-F

I started building this kit. For now, I found a certain lack of instructions. I think it will be fine from afar, but maybe not up close.

Train Charter Service ( TCS )

As part of the European Sleeper, there are some coaches from EuroExpress. I was able to find those from Heris - they are pretty rare. Those coaches are rented for other charter trains, such as TCS. As it turns out, Piko just released the BR 101 in the TCS livery.

Prototypical train formation

I could not find a formation on www.vagonweb.cz, but there are plenty of photos on Flickr:

More track work ...

I focused on ballasting switches over the last couple of days:

Streets and buildings outline - part 6

I'm almost done with ballasting the area in the back, so I need to think about where I'd need to put the scenery divider. To do that, I need to know how things are positioned on the front part.

First, I cleaned up the layout, then I placed the map where it should fit:

At that point, with a small screwdriver and a hammer, I marked every line intersection to go through the paper. Then I traced the outlines directly on the layout.

I'm quite happy with the outcome because I can fit the all area without squeezing anything; except the fret hall and the road crossing on each end - which I knew.

Next step is to work on the scenery divider!

And now the related videos:

I have also ordered a micro decoder to see if it could fit in there, so I can get sound too ...

BR 112 Roco - part 1

I got a BR 112 from Roco for the Ost-West Express:

The model is Roco 63555:

The model is very heavy and analog. Let's open it and see what we can do to convert it to DCC:

There's a NEM 625 plug and very little room for the decoder or for a speaker. I found a sound project on ESU for BR 110, that seems to also apply to BR 112:

I tried to fit a ESU LokSound 5 but it does not fit above the main board. I ordered a ESU Micro and we will see if I can fit it in there with a speaker. For now, I installed a basic ESU LokPilot:

Next post will be some videos ...
